Spring Restoration Season Underway at Son Kystkultursenter

15 April 2025 • By Kystlag Editorial Team

With the fjord ice cleared and warm spring sunlight returning to Son, our volunteer team kicked off the 2025 restoration season. Focus this month is on replacing two oak bottom planks on our historic sloop Svalen and preparing her rig for the summer season.

Over twelve volunteers turned out for Saturday's session, including several young apprentices learning traditional steam bending for the first time.
